Parent Social Media Policy

At the East Liverpool Youth Academy (ELYA), we are committed to creating a positive, safe, and respectful environment for all athletes, families, and organization. Social media is an important way to celebrate our youth and share updates, but it must be used responsibly.


This policy outlines expectations for parents and guardians when posting online.

Guidelines for Social Media Use

  1. Positive Posting Only
  • Celebrate achievements, teamwork, and effort.
  • Keep comments supportive, uplifting, and respectful.
  1. Respect Privacy
  • Do not post personal information about other players, families, coaches or board members (addresses, phone numbers, medical info, etc.).
  • Only share photos/videos of your own child unless you have permission from other parents/guardians.
  1. No Negative or Harassing Content
  • Do not post negative comments about players, coaches, referees, volunteers, or the organization.
  • Concerns or complaints should be addressed privately with coaches or the organization, not on social media.
  1. Protect the ELYA Reputation
  • Do not post content that could harm the image of ELYA, our players, or our community.
  • Refrain from using profanity, bullying, or offensive material.
  1. Game and Practice Content
  • Photos and videos may be shared if they promote positivity, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
  • ELYA reserves the right to remove any content that does not follow this policy.

Consequences for Violations

  • First Violation: Verbal/written reminder of the policy. Possible suspension from attending practices/games.
  • Second/Final Violation: Removal from the program without refund.

ELYA will use its official social media platforms to share updates, events, photos, and highlights to promote our youth and community in a positive and respectful way.


By signing your child up for ELYA programs, you agree to uphold these social media standards to ensure a safe and encouraging environment for everyone.


Parent Social Media Agreement

The East Liverpool Youth Academy (ELYA) is dedicated to creating a positive, safe, and respectful environment for all athletes, families, and the organization. As part of this commitment, all parents/guardians are expected to follow our Social Media Policy.

I acknowledge and agree to the following:


  1. I will post only positive, supportive, and respectful content related to ELYA athletes, families, coaches, referees, and organization.
  2. I will respect the privacy of other families and will not post photos, videos, or personal information about other players without permission.
  3. I will not post negative, harassing, or harmful comments about ELYA, its players, coaches, volunteers, or referees.
  4. I understand that if I violate this policy, ELYA may take corrective action, which can include warnings, suspension from events, or removal from the program.
  5. I understand that ELYA reserves the right to remove any online content that does not align with this policy.
